  47. Stardate: the 23rd Century. Retired Starfleet officers 
  48. James T. Kirk, Montgomery Scott and Pavel 
  49. Chekov are guests of honour aboard the newly 
  50. christened Enterprise-B. A test run takes an 
  51. unexpected turn for the worst, however, when the 
  52. Starship encounters two vessels trapped inside the 
  53. Nexus, a mysterious energy ribbon. During a perilous 
  54. rescue attempt, Kirk is swept out into space.

  56. Seven decades later, Captain Jean-Luc Picard and 
  57. the crew of the Enterprise-D rescue an El Aurian 
  58. physicist named Soran. Unbeknownst to Picard, 
  59. Soran harbours a deadly plan that includes the 
  60. destruction of the Enterprise and millions of lives. 
  61. Now Picards only hope for a future rests with the 
  62. Nexus and a legendary Captain from the past.
